GFWC Kentucky History

The Kentucky Federation of Women’s Clubs was founded in 1894 and is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international organization dedicated to community improvement through volunteer service. GFWC Kentucky is composed of over 1,097 members in 68 Clubs across the state. This diverse organization unites women of all ages and backgrounds to build better neighborhoods and improve their communities and themselves through various service programs such as: Arts and Culture,  Civic Engagement and Outreach,  Education and Libraries,  Environment,  Health and Wellness,  Domestic & Sexual Violence Awareness & Prevention,  Advocates for Children
